Why does this exist?
Humans rarely express or even acknowledge every emotion we feel. It’s more normalized to change or suppress our feelings than it is to lean into them and discover more about ourselves. And when we’re overwhelmingly happy or upset, many of us turn to social media for expression or distraction rather than let those feelings fuel creativity offline.
I’d like to expose readers to material that invites feelings rather than distracts from them. I want to draw attention to creative writing, personal stories, moving literature and good news that might restore a little faith in ourselves and society.
Final word.
You may be an avid reader, you might not be. You might be one of those people who only listens to self-development audiobooks tied to whatever industry you’re in. There is something for you here, too. Consuming diverse mediums of content is the key to innovative thinking. Stuff that ordinarily would never reach your eyeballs, like comedy or personal essays, may lead you to a burst of creativity that becomes your next great idea.
We already spend too much time looking at screens. Let some of that time be spent a little deeper from the surface.
