Egg Roll Bowl
What you need:
Ground pork (or chicken)
Half of a white or sweet onion
3-4 green onions
5 cloves garlic
2-3 tsp minced or chopped ginger
Soy sauce (a little over 1/4 cup)
Chinese 5 Spice, a few generous dashes
Cole slaw mix (You could also thinly chop veggies like broccoli stems, carrots, cabbage, etc. if you are trying to clean out the fridge)
Toasted Sesame oil
Optional: spoonful of rice vinegar or hoisin (if you have them/want those flavors in there)
How to make it:
Cook pork & drain fat
Add onion, garlic and the whites of the green onion. Cook for a couple minutes until you can smell the garlic.
Add ginger, soy sauce, and Chinese 5 spice.
Add slaw mix and stir well to incorporate sauce.
Simmer & add sesame oil.
Serve over rice and top with green onion & homemade egg roll sauce. (Sauce: Kewpie mayo, sweet chili sauce, sriracha. Measure with your heart.)
